After yesterday's bright sunny morning, today's foggy start was a bit of a shock but it soon passed.

It is really starting to feel as through spring is on its way.

The miniature daffodils are starting to flower in our garden.

Day 53 - February 22nd

Today was Dad's birthday. Sadly we weren't allowed beyond the door step but still managed to hand over cards and presents and wish him a Happy Birthday. I managed to snag this photo from my mum's Facebook page of him celebrating with a Birthday Afternoon Tea.

Whilst still in lockdown and expected to 'stay at home' we continue to get fresh air by walking in the village. Today our walk with Millie took us past the church.

Day 50 - February 19th

As well as the crocus flowering. the Polyanthus in our back garden are also starting to appear.

 Crocus are starting to flower.

Day 48 - February 17th (Ash Wednesday)

 

I've posted before about the Ash Wednesday doughnuts we enjoy each year, and thanks to my mum we enjoyed them again today.

Today we enjoyed the obligatory Pancakes.

Wayne gave me a lovely bouquet of flowers for Valentine's Day.

The flowers, from M&S, were Percy Pig themed in Percy Pig shades of pink accompanied by bags of Percy Pig sweets.

Day 44 - February 13th

This morning we had a bitterly cold walk over the fields.

There was still snow on the ground and lots of ice too.

Friday 19 March is Red Nose Day. Yesterday I bought a red nose. This year they are 100% plastic free and shaped like woodland creatures. Mine is a Badger.

Day 41 - February 10th

I made some bread today.

Temperatures remain below zero and I spotted these snow flakes on my car wing mirror when I left for work today.

Day 39 - February 8th

Overnight we had quite a bit of snow and Millie and I had a very white walk this morning.
