The weather was a slight improvement on yesterday but the weathermen say worse is yet to come. I took the dog for her usual walk this morning and noticed that the level brook at the bottom of the road has gone up quite a lot over the last couple of days. In the summer the brook is often bone dry but now it is almost full. I have known on the odd occasion for it to cover the bridge.
