I was in the garden this afternoon looking at the plants when I noticed what I though was a dead butterfly on the ground. Its wings were folded above its back and it was completely still. Curiously I touched it gently with a blade of grass and it's wings suddenly snapped open to reveal a beautiful Peacock Butterfly, very much alive. It remained like this for a few seconds, just long enough for me to take some photos, then it snapped it's wings tightly shut again.
