Day 186 - July 5th

We had an early start today. We had to drop Lara at her school at 6.30am to get the coach for a residential trip. Being a Mummy and a Blogger I should have taken some photos of her leaving, but I completely forgot. Instead my picture for today is a map roughly showing the route of the 6 hour journey.

After waving the coach 'goodbye'. we headed home and by 7.30am were were walking Millie through the fields.

It has been quite a few weeks since we've walked the path beside the Bee Orchids and were disappointed to now see only two of the orchids and these were clearly now well past their best. Oh well, only 12 months until they flower again!

The hedgerows and field margins were full of butterflies. I managed to sneak up on this Cabbage White Butterfly to get a snap.

Brian and I went looking at the orchids down here yesterday. We couldn't find the bee orchids where the grass had grown up. The only one we found was over.
