Day 227 - August 15th

Today was Weymouth Carnival. Having been to the carnival before, we knew that the town would be very busy so we decided to drive into the town and park up early and then go to the cinema to see 'Antman and The Wasp' to kill time before the carnival started.

We walked to the cinema alongside the harbour.

There were lots of boats moored up. Some were pleasure crafts and others were commercial fishing boats.

After our visit to the cinema we joined the thousands of other people waiting on the Esplanade for the carnival to begin.

Shortly after 6.30pm the procession got to where we were stood. There were floats and walkers and plenty to see.

The Male Majorettes were a big hit with the crowds.

Last time we were at the carnival The Red Arrows put on a display. This year there were no Red Arrows but instead 'The Red Barrows' were part of the parade weaving in and out with there bright red wheelbarrows.
