Today we travelled to the South Coast and are staying overnight in Eastbourne.
We visited out favourite ice-cream kiosk.
After enjoying ice-creams on the seafront we walked up the hill to the Peace Garden
The Wish Tower Memorial Peace Garden is in the moat of the Wish Tower. 74 Martello Towers were built along the south coast to defend against Napoleon in the early 1800's, the Wish Tower at Eastbourne is number 73
The peace garden provides Eastbourne with a memorial to local civilians who died in World War II bombing raids.
