Day 102 - April 12th

This afternoon we made our first visit this year to Wrest Park.

It was the first time we had visited in nearly a year and were interested to see that more of the house was now open to the public.

Outside the gardens had been planted up for summer.

Another change was in The Old Diary which is now a sculpture gallery housing some of the estate's most beautiful statues, now restored to their former glory, whilst replicas are on display outside in the grounds.

We walked round the grounds.

We visited The Orangery which fans of the TV show Bridgerton may recognise as the orangery where Prudence Fetherington and  Lord Jack Fetherington are caught alone forcing them into marrying.

In the Pear Orchard the grass is left to grow naturally until summer but it is also full of heritage varieties of crocus and narcissus.
