After yesterday's big lunch, a walk was in order. We drove to Priory Park at Bedford and walked our usual route to Danish Camp at Willington.
We detoured a little to walk up the the 16th century tudor Dovecote, built by John Gostwick with 1500 nesting boxes inside.
A short distance from the Dovecote also stand the tudor stable block. Its amazing that both buildings have been standing for nearly 500 years.
On reaching Danish Camp we sat for a while to warm up with some hot drinks before retracing our steps back to Priory Park.
