This morning we drove to Watford for a walk. We started at Cassiobury Park, the main public park in Watford but soon headed out of the park into the countryside.
Our route out of the park took us through a corner of the park which is run as a nature reserve by Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.
Leaving the park behind, we walked along the Grand Union Canal.
We then turned away from the canal, and climbed the hill towards Whippendell Wood.
The West Herts Golf Club is set in Whippendell Woods and we had to cross the fairway at several points, making sure to look out for flying golf balls.
Eventually we found ourselves back at Cassiobury Park, which we explored a little and then enjoyed a drink and a bite to eat in one of the cafes.
