For the last few evenings we have seen and heard some very noisy owls in the evening. Tonight we could clearly see them. At one point there were three owls on the chimney pots of the church next door, one in a nearby tree and one on a TV aerial. They made such a noise calling to each other! We couldn't make out what type of owls they were so I recorded them and sent the recording to the English School of Falconry which is based about 9 miles from us. They sent back to say that we have a family of Tawny Owls.

How absolutely cool is that to have owls so close & smart bird blending in like a chimney pot.
