Today started sunny and with no rain forecast we decided to go for a walk from priory Park to Danish Camp. This was not a good decision!
We left the car and commented how humid it was and that we probably should have worn shorts. There were lots of people out enjoying the day and we paused for a while to watch a heron by the waterside.
There were also lots of signs of autumn about.
Unfortunately, that is where the photos end because a mile or so into the walk the heavens opened and we were forced to shelter (rather unsuccessfully) in a small copse of trees whilst the rain poured down and thunder and lightening rattled around us. We got drenched and once the rain eased we made a quick retreat back to the car.
