When I take Millie for her morning walk, I pass several huge Horse Chestnut Trees. I've never taken any notice of the flowers on these trees but having stopped today to look (and photograph them) I realised how pretty they are. From a distance they look white but close up it is obvious that they have shades of yellow and pink.
I wonder how long it will be before the leaf miners come and destroy the leaves.
Interestingly, The flower is the symbol of the city of Kiev, capital of Ukraine.
