We drove through several rain showers on the way but thankfully the thunderstorm that was forecast didn't materialise.
It didn't seem long before the signs for Nottingham started to appear.
When we past the west entrance to University Park Campus we noticed that May Fest (The University's Open Day for the community) was taking place. it would have been nice to have stopped and had a look at was was going on but the weather was still a bit damp so we carried on our journey.
We caught a glimpse of the Trent Building with its clock tower through the gates.
