Day 15 - January 15th

On Boxing Day we went for a walk at Marston Vale Millennium Country Park. On that occasion we only walked round one part of the park so today we decided to return and walk the rest and also ended up retracing our steps from Boxing Day.

We started at the Forest Centre and walked part of the Timberland Trail (which skirts round the edge of the Wetlands Nature Reserve) and also part of the Bedford to Milton Keynes Waterway Park, before walking round Stewartby Lake.

On the route of the proposed new Waterway Park we past several quite impressive carved benches and other carved structures.

It was quite chilly, especially by the waters edge.

We also spotted some fungi, a sign of how damp it's been.

Wonderful photos. I like the benches & in particular I like that they have kept with a theme of the water & water life. Interesting to see the boat carved into the stump.
