Today we spent the day at Southwold.
Our first stop was the pier. Although the sun was shining it was very blustery.
At the very end of the pier people had tossed coins onto pillars in the sea. Some of the coins looked as if they'd been there quite a long time.
After walking on the pier we wandered along the sea front into the town.
On the way to town we passed the lighthouse which unusually is surrounded by shops and houses.
In the town there signs of the celebrations held a few weeks ago for the Coronation.
We stopped off at the Adnams Store and Cafe for a bite to eat.
The cheese and tomato scones were delicious.
After a bit more wandering around the town we found a seat on the sea front and sampled the local ice cream.
Before heading back to the car, we took a walk along the row of beach huts which line the beach and I couldn't resist taking a few more photos.
