Day 301 - October 27th

Today we walked on our favourite beach - Winterton-on-Sea.

The sun was shining and we walked quite a way towards Horsey

On the way we spotted a Cormorant perched on a groyne end-marker. He seemed oblivious to us and sat quite still whilst I took photos.

Horsey and Winterton beaches are popular destinations for grey seal watching and during the 12 week breeding season (November to January) the seals come onto the beach to give birth. In a few weeks time, the beaches will be closed to prevent the seals being disturbed but today, on reaching groyne 59, we were lucky to see quite a few seals already on the beach in readiness for the arrival of their pups.

Whilst the majority of the seals on the beach were full grown adults, we did from a distance spot this little guy enjoying the sunshine whilst his mum kept a close watch from the water.

After enjoying an ice-cream from the beach café, we then headed to Great Yarmouth for a game of crazy golf.

We all enjoy a game of crazy golf, especially when the sun is shining.
