We headed to the pier in time to see the water clock perform. The clock was originally made in 1998 as a temporary feature about water recycling sponsored by Thames Water. On the hour, the figures in the bath tub squirt water at each other, the boys drop their trousers and pee at each other and flowers near the base grow.
After a walk along the prom we stopped for drinks and ice-creams.
We then headed into the town and happened to stumble across the Admans Store! We'll be returning to Southwold again next week so that Wayne & Christopher can join a brewery tour.
Time for a family photo on Gun Hill.
Later in the afternoon we decided to head to Sizewell beach. Sizewell, despite being the site of two nuclear power stations, is located within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The beach is a pebble/sand beach and is backed by grass dunes.
Unfortunately our walk through the dunes was cut short when Wayne spotted this chap - an Adder who we decided to give a very wide berth!

What a great selection of photos and it looks as if there is lots to do - the adder was a good spot, both from a photographic and a safety point of view!
