Day 223 - August 10th

Today we returned to Southwold so that Wayne and Christopher could visit the Adnams Brewery. Founded in 1872, Admans has a very big presence in Southwold and is the town's biggest employer. It produces cask ales and bottles beers and in 2010 the company established the Copper House Distillery for the production of gin, vodka and whiskey.

During the brewery tour Wayne and Christopher were able to find out about the beer making process from start to finish and see the very modern, automated brewery.

At the end of the tour, there was a beer tasting session and everyone on the tour was also given a free bottle of beer to take away with them.

After the brewery tour, we all met up at the Adnams Store and a mini cask was bought. Lara was given the job of carrying this back to the car!
