Today we had booked a trip on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway travelling from Porthmadog to Beddgelert.
We boarded the 'Glaslyn Venturer' at Porthmadog station and had a section of the carriage to ourselves.
The 3 hour round trip took us on the southern end of the Welsh Highland Railway, giving views of the mountains before passing through the Aberglaslyn Pass.
The trip included a 1 hour stop at Beddgelert. Unfortunately when we arrived at Beddgelert it was raining quite heavily so we headed to a cafe to shelter from the rain and apart from visiting a small gift shop we weren't able to explore Beddgelert more.
The return train took us back to Porthmadog and because the weather hadn't improved much we decided to go inside and explore the maritime museum before heading home.
