Day 214 - August 2nd

Today we drove across the Menai Bridge to Beaumaris in Anglesey. We visited Beaumaris the last time we holidayed in the area and were keen to visit again.

We pre-booked tickets to visit the castle so jumped the queue and were able to walk straight in when we arrived.

There were very few people at the castle when we were there and we were able to wander around freely and also walk the castle walls.

After visiting the castle we stopped for a drink and something to eat in the town and then headed to the pier as Lara wanted to have a go at crab fishing.

Armed with a bucket, net and some bait bought from the shop at the end of the pier we found a spot on the pier.

It wasn't long before the crabs started biting.

Having caught the crabs and then released them back into the sea, we drove back to the house.

The scenery in North Wales is spectacular with the purple heather on the hillsides.

In the evening, we enjoyed another new game - Muffin Time.
