Day 363 - December 29th

A cold and chilly day today but dry, so our walk over the fields this morning was quite pleasant.

Day 362 - December 28th

I had time this evening for some scrapbooking.

Day 361 - December 27th

Lara and I popped into town this afternoon to the Sales. It wasn't very busy and the sales were disappointing.

Day 360 - December 26th (Boxing Day)

Lara has finished another Christmas jigsaw.

Day 359 - December 25th (Christmas Day)

Happy Christmas!

Stockings have been opened......

The dinner table has been laid.....

and dinner has been eaten.

Presents have been exchanged ....

games have been played.....

and we have had a lovely day being together.

Day 358 - December 24th (Christmas Eve)

Today the tradition of Lara making mince pies on Christmas Eve continued.

After some last minute wrapping and preparation, all is now ready for the big day.

Day 357 - December 23rd

Today we spent a lazy Sunday getting ready for Christmas Day and chilling.

Day 356 - December 22nd

This afternoon we gathered at my Mum & Dad's house to exchange Christmas presents with my brother and his family.

It was lovely to spend time together especially with the youngest members of the family.

Day 355 - December 21st

Our American friend Kay always used to bake the children Christmas treats including huge bags of cookies. A couple of years ago she kindly gave us the recipe for the cookies but we had never tried it. Sadly, this year Kay passed away so Lara decided that this Christmas she was going to make 'Kay's Cookies'. She made and painstakingly decorated the cookies with icing just as Kay did. They were yummy.

Day 354 - December 20th

Day 353 - December 19th

Tonight we joined many other people at The Crown for a Carol Service round the Christmas tree. It was a good night  and the event raise £850 for The Crown's charity of the year - Mind BLMK.

Day 352 - December 18th

I spotted some Snowberries in the hedgerow whilst out walking Millie today.

Day 351 - December 17th

Whilst out yesterday we bought a box of Christmas Krispy Kreme doughnuts. When Christopher was at Uni we often stopped and bought one of these boxes when we bought him home for Christmas. 

Day 350 - December 16th

Happy Birthday Lara.

The day started with presents and cards.

In the afternoon we all went bowling.

Then after something to eat it was home again for another birthday cake!
