Day 241 - August 29th

The weather is certainly cooling down and so Tux is staying inside more. He's found one of his favourite spots again - ontop of the kitchen wall cupboards.

Day 240 - August 28th

This afternoon Lara and I went to the cinema to see Christopher Robin. Such a great film.

Day 239 - August 27th

Last weekend whilst walking Millie we noticed that the fields had been harvested and the straw was lying int eh field. Now the straw has been baled and is stacked around the field.

Day 238 - August 26th

I have joined a new book club set up at our local pub. I wasn't able to attend the inaugural meeting as I was on holiday at the time but I have been sent details of the first book choice. Today, being very wet and rainy, I made some inroads into reading it.

Day 237 - August 25th

This weekend (Bank Holiday weekend) is our bi-annual village Scarecrow Festival. Over 50 scarecrows are on display around the village and this afternoon we went for a walk to find them. So much work has gone into making the scarecrows and they are all so different.

Here are a few of our favourites.

Day 236 - August 24th

Millie loves her alpaca toy and amazingly hasn't destroyed it ..... yet!

Day 235 - August 23rd

A little bit of sunshine and the bees are back on the buddleia.

Day 234 - August 22nd

For Lara's birthday last December we gave her a voucher for her and a friend to experience indoor skydiving at iFLY at Milton Keynes. Today they finally got to enjoy the experience.

They each spent time in the wind tunnel with an instructor who helped them get in the best flying position and guide them.

Wayne and I were able to watch them flying and take lots of photos.

We bought a video from iFLY of Lara's three flights.

Lara and her friend both really enjoyed the day and Lara is already asking about going again.
