Today we decided to go for a walk around Weymouth. Unfortunately we hadn't been there long before it started raining which didn't make our visit very pleasurable so we decided to head back to our holiday home in Sutton Poyntz.
When it stopped raining we took a stroll up to the village duck pond.
Several years ago when we holidayed in this village the children enjoyed jumping from one side of the pond to the other using the stepping stones.
The first written evidence of a village at Sutton Poyntz is a Saxon charter dated 891 AD, which the village is proud to advertise on this stone by the pond.
There are lots of very quaint properties in the village
Later, after fish and chips from the local shop. we started a jigsaw.....
.... and discovered a new family card game - Exploding Kittens!
