Having not taken Millie for walks over the fields for several weeks due to the hot weather and then being away on holiday, I was surprised today when we did go for a long walk to see how many plants in the hedgerow now have berries.
The blackberries on the bushes round the perimeter of the car park at work have been black for a month or more, but here they are only just ripening.
