Day 82 - March 23rd
There is so much blossom in the hedgerows now and I snapped this beautiful white blossom whilst walking Millie this morning.
Day 81 - March 22nd
For Christmas my niece gave me a small jug and some Grape Hyacinth bulbs to plants in it. I duly planted the bulbs and hid them away in the cool garage in the darkness to force them to grow.
Last week I checked the jug and was pleased to see that they were doing very well so for the past week or so the jug has stood on the kitchen windowsill in the sunshine. The plants are now flowering.
Day 74 - March 15th
Today is Comic Relief Day so whilst in Sainsburys the other day, I bought a red nose. This years red noses came in surprise boxes so you didn't know which nose you bought until you opened the box. I got Snufflekins!
Day 71 - March 12th
I was surprised to see a few Grape Hyacinths growing by the path leading to the church doors today. I don't think I've ever seen them there before.
Day 69 - March 10th
The steps beside the churchyard were improved a few years ago and certainly make our dog walks easier.
Day 68 - March 9th
A trip to the cinema this afternoon to see Captain Marvel. Really enjoyed it and we're now eagerly awaiting the release of The Avengers Endgame next month.
Day 66 - March 7th
Quite windy outside today so Tux decided to stay indoors and watch the bird activity in the garden through the kitchen window.

Day 65 - March 6th (Ash Wednesday)
I've posted many times before about Ash Wednesday being known as 'Doughnut Day' in our family and the 'Bedfordshire Doughnuts' (Welsh Cakes) that we traditionally eat. My Mum has kindly made us a plate of doughnuts to enjoy later today.
Day 61 - March 2nd
This mornings walk over the fields was a bit chilly but the ground is certainly getting drier and hopefully we'll soon be able to abandon the wellies.

Day 55 - February 24th
Whilst at the supermarket in Shefford today we stumbled across this wooden sculpture in the spinney next to the car park. The sculpture is of a drover with his sheep and the spinney where he is located is called ..... 'Driver;s Spinney'!
Day 53 - February 22nd
Today was Dad's birthday and we surprised him with a cake. Unfortunately not the best photo of the birthday boy due to the window behind.
Day 45 - February 14th
There was a knock at the door this afternoon and these beautiful flowers were delivered for me for Valentines Day. 💚
Day 41 - February 10th
A few weeks ago I noticed one or two violets hiding beneath some of the bushes in the garden. Today there are lots carpeting some of the borders. So pretty.
Day 39 - February 8th
The lawn will need cutting soon. The warm weather has enticed the dead nettles into flower and they will soon take over.
