Day 106 - April 16th
Another birthday in the family today and instead of the traditional birthday cake, the birthday boy had a tower of doughnuts!
Day 102 - April 12th
In recent years all but one of the trees on the verge alongside our main road have fallen down. The one remaining tree is now in full bloom.
Day 99 - April 9th
We were watched suspiciously by the mother sheep and their young lambs whilst on our walk this morning.
Interestingly the sheep are kept in the same field as the cows. I'm told that this is quite unusual and that the farmer who does this in our village is one of the only farmers in the county to do so.
Day 95 - April 5th
The red tulips have been in flower in the garden for sometime but now some of the more unusual varieties are starting the flower.
Day 94 - April 4th
I love this time of year when all the blossom covers the hedgerows. Such delicate flowers and so pretty when looked at up close.
Day 90 - March 31st (Mothering Sunday)
Today I received some lovely cards and gifts from the children for Mothering Sunday including these lovely flower.
Day 87 - March 28th
These small pale blue flowers are 'Spring Starflowers'. They are so pretty but apparently are related to the onion family!
Day 85 - March 26th
There are so many different varieties of tulip. This pale cream flower growing in a trough at my mum & dad's house is lovely.
Day 84 - March 25th
My Dad showed me the orchids currently flowering in his greenhouse. I really liked this delicate pale pink variety.
