Amongst the marigolds we bought and planted earlier in the year, there was one rouge marigold. It has grown far taller than the others and is only just flowering. From this photo you can see its smaller relatives in the background.

The banadage has been taken off of Tux' leg today. Hopefully next week the stitches will be removed.

Day 264 - September 20th
Yesterday I took Tux to the vet. Friday evening he was struggling to walk on his right back leg and was generally not himself. The vet found an infected wound on his leg and had to clean and stitch it up. I collected Tux today. He's feeling very sorry for himself with his buster collar and bandaged leg.

The church held a Bear Hunt today. We spotted Pooh and Friends setting up their picnic whilst we were out for a walk this morning.

We are now the owners of a new 240 litre green garden waste bin. Our council has introduced these instead of bags which we have used for the past few years.
