Today Lara and I decorated our Easter Tree.

Today the UK recorded the warmest March day in 53 years. It was certainly warm in my car this afternoon.

A morning walk over the fields.

Day 86 - March 27th

Horses are now kept in several of the fields we walk Millie through and we spotted these huge mushrooms growing on a pile of horse manure. Googling them I found out that they are Egghead Mottlegill mushroom which typically grow on dung!

I ordered daffodils from Tesco this week but they substituted a bunch of brightly coloured Tulips instead.

Time to make some progress on reading the latest Book Club book.

Yesterday I received a late Mothers Day gift - a beautiful bunch of Alstroemerias.

Day 79 - March 20th

This morning Wayne & I had our first coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine. The local council offices are being used as a vaccination centre. It was all very organised and efficient.

I have been varying my morning dog walking route. Today's walk took me past these daffodils bordering the grass.

Day 76 - March 17th

Whilst going to a dentist appointment today I parked in the supermarket car park. It's interesting to see how busy the car park is. Today it was busier than the last time I was there but still no where near as busy as pre-pandemic.

It was interesting to watch Lara carry out her routine Lateral Flow Covid Test today. It was thankfully negative.

Despite being in lockdown, I was totally spoilt today on Mothers Day.

I received my invitation to book my coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine appointment.

Day 70 - March 11th

Lara returned to school this week. As part of the arrangement for secondary schools to reopen, students are offered twice weekly Lateral Flow Covid Tests. Having had a couple at school, today Lara was given a number of tests to be carried out at home over the coming weeks.

I found this in our village shop today. I'd never seen one before so bought one to try.

Day 64 - March 5th

After taking Lara to the dentist this week, I popped into Sainsburys and picked up a bunch of tulips. They didn't take long in our warm living room to fully open.

Of all the crocus in my Mum & Dad;s garden, this variety is my favourite.

I have eagerly been looking out for the violets to start flowering but sadly there don't appear to be many. I spotted these few tucked away under some bushes in my Mum & Dad;s garden.
