Day 181 - June 30th

I thought that the Mock Orange tree in my Mum & Dads garden had been cut down but today I spotted it in flower behind the summer house.

Day 180 - June 29th

 

Mum and Dad have lots of rose bushes but I think this one may be my favourite.

Day 179 - June 28th

Wayne has grown Cosmos flowers in various colours. Some are different shades of pink whilst others are white.

Day 178 - June 27th

Today we were finally able to meet up with my brother and sister-in-law and my niece and her family, albeit outside. Christopher and Charlie bonded over chocolate tea cakes.

Day 177 - June 26th

On our dog walk today we spotted several huge clumps of Oxeye Daisies. 

Day 176 - June 25th

I treated myself to some Peonies this week.

 

Day 175 - June 24th

Today Lara received her first Covid Vaccine so I took her to the third Vaccine centre I have visited in recent months. This one at The Rufus Centre was extremely busy. 

Day 174 - June 23rd

As well as spectacular clematis in their garden, my Mum & Dad also have some beautiful roses.

Day 173 - June 22nd

A couple of weekends ago. Wayne and I went for a walk hoping to spot the Bee Orchids, but on that occasion we saw none.

This evening at about a quarter to eight we thought we'd look again, so we went to the area where we'd seen them in previous years and were pleased to find several this time.

They were very hard to see as they were almost smothered by the long grass and weeds that they were growing among.

When we turned back to walk home the sun was starting the set.

Day 172 - June 21st

Wayne planted some Nasturtium seeds in March and they have grown into beautiful two-tone flowers.

Day 171 - June 20th

Today was Father's Day.

 

Day 170 - June 19th

Today we took my Mum & Dad to visit my brother and sister-in-law. The weather during our journey was rather dull. 

On our way home, at Baldock Services, we saw that the Pyramidal Orchids growing on the grass bank were back in bloom.

Day 169 - June 18th

My Mum & Dad have a lovely display of clematis at the moment.

Day 168 - June 17th

Whilst at IKEA yesterday I treated myself to some Swedish Fish sweets. I don't think I've had any since my brother bought some back from the States.

Day 167 - June 16th

This afternoon I joined Christopher on a trip to IKEA. It was much quieter than when we last visited in November and I would recommend to anyone planning to visit IKEA to go on a Wednesday afternoon.

Dad & Wayne are both growing Teddy Bear Sunflowers. Dad's plants are more advanced than Wayne's and already have flowers.

Day 164 - June 13th

No time for crafting this week end but I did have time to choose some photos and papers for when I do have time.

 The roses in my Mum & Dad's garden are looking lovely.

Unlocking the door after Millie's walk this morning, I noticed this slippery guy making his way down the door.

Day 160 - June 9th

The Cordyline  growing in our garden started to flower a few years ago. This year it looks a picture.

Day 159 - June 8th

I had a nasty surprise when I opened the cold drinks fridge this morning, A can of Pepsi had exploded covering everything in frozen, sticky Pepsi. We can only assume that the temperature of the fridge had dropped too low and as the the liquid in the can expanded the can burst.

We had a leisurely walk this morning over the fields with Millie. The barley has really shot up since we last walked this way.

I love the different blossoms in the hedgerows. Such pretty, delicate flowers.
