Day 300 - October 27th
This evening we visited the local pub.
The pub is just across the road from the cottage. You can see it from the cottage window.
Earlier in the day we had a final game of crazy golf ...
..... and fish and chips for dinner.

Day 299 - October 26th
Today was my birthday and we visited Felbrigg Hall, a 17th century hall with garden and woodlands. Felbrigg Hall is considered one of the most elegant country houses in East Anglia and is home to one of the largest collections in the National Trust.
Like at Blickling Hall, the fruit and vegetables grown in the walled garden had all been harvested but dotted around the garden were piles of the various pumpkins and squashes which had been grown.
Finally we visited the hall. The hall is mostly intact apart from a room blown up by a fireworks experiment the 18th century! The large collection is original to the families who made Felbrigg their home.
We walked through the woodlands which were looking very autumnal and again kept our eyes out for fungi.

In the kitchen the large wooden table was covered in a huge display of the numerous heritage and specialty pumpkins and squashes grown in the garden.
One of the volunteers pointed out this particularly gnarly variety.
In the evening we went to the 'Fire on the Water: Beach Edition' event on Great Yarmouth seafront. The event, which is organised by the Out There Festival and Great Yarmouth Borough Council was first held last year. Last years event was at the Venetian Waterways but this year was on the beach. It was advertised as a dynamic and dramatic outdoor experience featuring acrobatic performances, light installations and night-time fire shows.
