Day 293 - October 20th
Today we went to Horsey to see the Grey Seal Colony. The seals take to the beach at Horsey every year between October and February and although we have seen them before we decided to make a return visit today.
We parked in the car park and followed the coastal path the viewing area.
After the recent rain, there were one or two puddles.
There were lots of seals on the beach and we watched them for quite some time making sure not to get too close.
On our walk back to the car we noticed many mushrooms/toadstools along the way.
The mushroom above is called a Parasol Mushroom, an edible mushroom frequently found on grassy seaside cliffs. You can see from the fifty pence piece we put onto of the mushroom just how big this one was. It would fill a frying pan!
After a spot of lunch we decided to have our first (of what will no doubt be many this week) game of crazy golf.
