Today was Wayne's birthday. We should have been celebrating whilst on holiday in Wales but as we're not, we took the day of work to celebrate at home instead.
We visited Wrest Park in the afternoon for a leisurely stroll in the sunshine.
The flowers in the gardens were beautiful.
After our visit to Wrest Park, we went to our local pub for a drink (see first photo above)
Unfortunately I then had a trip to the vet with Tux who has managed to cut his chest. The vet thinks he probably did it on a tree or fence. Two staples were needed to hold the wound closed and he has to stay inside for two weeks until he's healed and the staples are removed.
On a happier note, this evening we continued celebrating Wayne's birthday with a take away meal from a recently opened nearby turkish restaurant.
Cold Meze
Mixed Seafood - Monkfish, tiger prawns & salmon with mixed vegetables.
Special Platter - lamb shish, chicken shish, lamb kofte, chicken wings, ribs and lamb chops. Served with rice, salad, bread, garlic sauce & chilli sauce.
