Day 23 - January 23rd
Christopher sent me this photo today. This afternoon a thermal airship was flown from Santa Pod over Bedford and Shortstown to Cardington where the R101 airship was built. The flight was to celebrate the final weeks of the Airships Dreams Escaping Gravity exhibition and Christopher was able to see the airship close to where he lives.

Day 21 - January 21st
Whilst collecting some logs from the store for the fire today, I uncovered this chap. He was dormant but as soon as he was moved his wings sprang open and he was obviously waking up. I quickly put him back at the back of the store, placed a few more logs around him and hopefully he will sleep until it gets a bit warmer.

Day 15 - January 15th
For part of her Christmas present, we gave Lara tickets for a family trip to the theatre to see The Addams Family - The Musical, so today we drove to Milton Keynes for the show.
Our seats were right up in The Gods and turned out to be like a box, with just us in it which given the current Covid situation was quite reassuring.
The show was really good and we're hoping to visit the theatre more often in future.

Day 13 - January 13th
Today I made an apple crumble. In last years survey by Breville, apple crumble was voted Britain's favourite dessert and I can certainly agree with the result. I love an apple crumble and this one was delicious.

Day 12 - January 12th
Driving home from a shopping trip this afternoon the sun was just setting. This photo doesn't reflect just how pretty the sky was.

Day 8 - January 8th
Today Wayne & I finally got our annual flu jab. When we tried several times to make appointments last year but there were no appointments available due to a national shortage of the vaccine needed for under 65s due to freight issues. Today however there were no problems and we're now covered.

Day 6 - January 6th
It was -2 degrees when I drove to work this morning. Earlier when I took Millie for her walk it was certainly very cold. The sun was just rising.

Day 5 - January 5th
Usually the decorations stay up until twelfth night (tomorrow) but as I wasn't at work today I decided to do the deed today.

Day 1 - January 1st
I started this blog in January 2009 when I decided to take part in the 365 (a photo a day) project. The idea was to take a photo every day throughout 2009 and some how thirteen years later I am still taking photos! I've thought several times of stopping but I like being able to look back at photos from previous years and it encourages me to take photos and preserve the memories. So, here is my first photos for 2022.
Today, the Met Office is reporting, has been the warmest New Years Day in the UK on record with yesterday being the warmest New Years Eve on record. The weather was unseasonably warm when we took Millie for a walk over the fields this morning with blue skies and sunshine. Wellies did have to be worn though as it was a bit muddy in places.
