Day 282 - October 9th
This popped up in the middle of the lawn a couple of days ago - a Shaggy Ink Cap Mushroom. Its supposed to be edible unless eaten with alcohol when it can cause severe illness. But, I don't think I'll be trying it with or without as it doesn't look the most appetizing thing. Ewwww.

Karen - I don't believe it again!!! I have been out walking around 2 lakes today but I thought that I had posted enough lakes lately - so I took some nature shots out the woods around the lake and the one I thought I was going to use was of some mushrooms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had better find something else to post instead!

fancy that popping up in your lawn! I love all the mushrooms and toadstools around at this time of year, but I wouldn't have the nerve to eat any of them.
Great photo though edible or not!
