On the second evening we were away we decided to try some geocaching - something we haven't done for about 12 months. We found details of a cache which was near to where we were staying and set off into the hills to find it.
This photo shows where we started and the arrow shows roughly where we were heading to.
It was all up hill between fields.
When we got to the cache the view back towards the sea was spectacular. The area of land in the sea in the centre of the photo is Portland with Weymouth on the right. The village of Sutton Poyntz where we were based is the area of housing nearer the front.
After much searching amongst brambles and nettles we found the cache and the children were rewarded with a toy from the cache box - in this case a wind-up penguin from 'Happy Feet'.

Oh Karen that looks like just my type of walk - lovely views, a good walkout and a geocache involved as well!! Glad you have had another go at geocaching - hope the children enjoyed it.
