Day 1 - January 1st

Happy New Year!

After a wet afternoon and evening yesterday, this morning was dry and bright so we headed to Berkhamsted for a walk. 

We parked the car near the Grand Union Canal and took a stroll alongside the water where quite a few boats were moored.

Eventually we turned away from the canal and headed along some woodland paths towards Berkhamsted Common.

Emerging from the woods onto farmland, the paths were rather muddy.

Finally we headed back towards the town and the canal side, before returning to the car.
