The snowdrops outside the parish church are now flowering. Every year I photograph them and find it interesting how sometime they appear as early as December and sometimes as late as February. According to a study by Kew Gardens the average flowering date of the common snowdrop has moved from around the end of February in the 1950s to early January in the 1990s.
