Day 175 - June 23rd

Recently on social media there have been lots of photos of a field of poppies at nearby Baldock, so we decided to go and find it.

The field is beside a road and it appears is destined to be developed. This year, for the first time, the field is full of brilliant, red poppies. I've read that the land was disturbed during archaeological tests of the site and so maybe this is why the poppies have now appeared. it will be interesting to see if the poppies appear again next year, if the land hasn't been built on by then.
