Followers of my blog will recall that at the beginning of the year we started walking the Letchworth Greenway - a 13.6 mile long circular route around Letchworth.Rather than walk the whole route in one go, we have been walking it in sections. This morning we walked the section from Standalone Farm to Hitchin.
Part of the route is beside quite busy roads, but other parts are through quiet fields with views over the countryside.
We were quite surprised in one field to find lots of Pyramidal Orchid growing. They were everywhere and difficult to miss.
One path passed through a small wood.
Everywhere there were wild flowers growing in the hedgerows.
