This afternoon we joined our monthly walking group for a 5 mile walk from Meppershall to Fairfield. It After yesterdays thunder storms, today was a hot sunny day with a bit of a breeze.
We left Meppershall and headed towards Henlow Camp through fields of golden wheat.
We then left Henlow Camp towards Arlesey passing more fields of crops before reaching the River Hiz.
At the bridge over the river, horses were sheltering from the sun in the shade of the bridge.
Once in Arlesey we walked the route of the driveway which used to lead to the old Three Counties Asylum, now redeveloped as Fairfield Park.
