Day 297 - October 24th

When we were at Wroxham on Monday we saw signs advertising Boards Tours so this morning we telephone the tour operators and booked tickets on a 2 o'clock river trip on the Belle of the Boards.

Our 90 minute trip took us from Wroxham to Salhouse Broad. The skipper of the boat gave a running commentary during the first half of the trip telling us about the history of the Norfolk Broads, the wildlife and about the river houses we passed.

There were some lovely properties which we were told were worth a  considerable amount. We learned that George Formby and his wife had once owned a house by the river at Wroxham, which was pointed out to us as we passed by.

There were lots of other enjoying the broads on what turned out to be a dry but overcast day.

Earlier in the day it had been sunnier and we had walked on Winterton beach.

We were joined by lots of seals watching us ... watching them.

We ended our day out with a game of crazy golf.
