Fossil hunting is a very popular activity on the Jurassic Coast, so on Lara's request today we drove to Charmouth.
Charmouth is Britain's premier fossil beach and fossils can be found washed out of the cliffs loose on the beach in the gravel and shingle.
Armed with a small hammer Lara hunted amongst the stones on the beach and the loose debris at the bottom of the cliff face.
She wasn't disappointed and found quite a few fossils.
Later that evening, on returning to Weymouth we walked down to the harbour/seafront. We ate hot doughnuts...
... and then sat outside and enjoyed a drink on the waters edge, before walking back to our holiday home.
