Day 295 - October 22nd

This morning we drove to Horsey to visit the seal colony.

I've posted many times before about the Horsey grey seals and seeing them is always a highlight of our holidays in Norfolk.

As usual we parked at the pay and display car park and walked along part of the coast path to the viewing point. It's quite a walk and after the recent rain was quite puddly.

Due to the wet conditions there were also lots of mushrooms and fungi to see.

Unfortunately on this occasion the seals were quite some distance from the viewing area but it was still nice to see so many of them on the beach where they will remain for the duration of the birthing season until February.

In the afternoon as it was still bright and sunny we drove to Great Yarmouth. Our first port of call was the crazy golf course. Followers of my blog will know that we love a game of crazy golf and some of us can get quite competitive!

After the game of crazy golf we were in  need of refreshment so we headed to Sarah's Tearooms. I highly recommend the coffee & walnut cake.

After having our fill of cake, we decided to ride the Big Wheel on the seafront.

It was such a glorious, sunny day and the visibility was amazing. We could see for miles.
