Day 297 - October 24th

Today we travelled to the town of Wells-Next-The-Sea on the North Norfolk for the half term week. We have holidayed in Norfolk many times but never been this far north.

We arrived late afternoon, found our cottage and then headed to the quay, which was just a short walk away, to have a look around. Wells-Next-The-Sea is a traditional seaside town and the Quay was a great place to watch boats come and go. An impressive feature of the quay is the large granary building with its distinctive overhanging gantry which you can see in the background of my POTD. Built in 1903, the granary has now been turned into luxury flats with magnificent views of the quay.

It was starting to get dark when I took these photos and shortly after we got caught in a rain shower!

You look as if you have had a great holiday - Wells looks beautiful - we only saw a little of it as we were only there for an afternoon - but it certainly looks worth returning to. Not that I need much of an excuse to go back to Norfolk. lovely photos of the quay and its buildings.
