Day 219 - August 7th

Today we started the day with what was going to be a 15 minute local walk but after leaving the house we decided instead to walk to the top of Mynydd y Cilgwyn. 

It was a steep climb up a pathway between heather and gorse bushes but didn't take long to reach the top. The views were spectacular.

Back at the cottage we met Doti who was the spitting image of our Tux and VERY friendly.

Later we decided to visit Parc Glynllifon. We visited here last year and felt it worthy of a return trip. We walked past the derelict mansion house, through the woodland and beside the river, stopping for a rest at the amphitheater and later stopped at the cafe for cake.

Later, we then took a short ride to the beach at Dinas Dinlle. It was quite busy with lots of people on the beach and in the sea, enjoying the lovely hot weather.
