Day 224 - August 12th

Today was Wayne's birthday. He still didn't feel great but his cough wasn't as bad and he felt a little better in himself.

As the government no longer requires people with Covid to self-isolate but instead advises just to avoid contact with other people, we decided to go out as it was so hot in the house and difficult to distance ourselves. We decided to drive to Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens which we knew was generally quite quite, there was plenty of room to be able to avoid other visitors and it was all outside. 

Plas Cadnant was lovely and it was nice to get out, but it was soooo hot - 27⁰ and after a couple of hours, and a pit stop for drinks and cakes we decided to return to the cottage.

Later after watching the sunset and giving the cats some fuss, we tried to watch the Perseids Meteor Shower but saw only 1 or 2 meteors.
