Today we went for a cruise on the Menai Strait. We booked seats for the 2 hour cruise on the 'Queen of the Sea' which featured on the popular ITV series 'The Island Strait' which was shown a few years ago. Thankfully despite booking our seats a few days ago, today was lovely and sunny.
We boarded the boat at the harbour in Caernarfon and sailed along the Menai beneath the Britannia and Menai Suspension Bridge before returning. The captain gave a running commentary throughout the cruise pointing out places of interest along the route and telling us a bit of the history of the area.

We found ourselves in the middle of a race!
After our boat trip we retired to a café for drink and cake and before dinner we drove to Dinas Dinlle beach.
We walked on the beach and then decided to climb to the top of cliff where the iron age hill fort once was.
The site is owned and managed by The National Trust with outstanding views from the cliff top.
In the evening we played a new game - Monopoly Snowdonia Edition,
