Day 225 - August 13th

My photo for today is of Tapeley Park, Instow, Devon. It is a privately owned stately home but the gardens are open to the public 6 days of the week.

It has the most beautiful gardens. Hopefully the photos show this.

There is a huge lake in the middle of a wooded area surrounded by hydrangeas, rhododendrons and other plants. My photos of the lake really didn't do it justice but we did manage to find a spot to be able to set the camera up on auto to take a family shot.

In one of the fields a local farmer keeps highland cattle. Aren't they gorgeous?

As the leaflet said 'Tapeley Park is unspoilt, tranquil, beautiful and non-commercialised'.

Wow these gardens are really really beautiful! Your photos do do it justice! Again I like the buildings dotted around the gardens - they all look very well maintained. Love your family photo - is that one going to be your POTD?
