From the viewing area we were able to watch the jets landing and taking off.
With the risk of further rain hopefully behind us we then headed along the coast to Penrhos Coastal Park.
The coastal park was on the outskirts of Holyhead and includes beach and woodlands to explore.
We walked alongside the beach and through the woodlands.
Red squirrels are regularly seen in Penrhos but sadly we saw none during our visit.
